THE FOUNDER

Gerald Lalanne has over 20 years experience in the French Republican Guard’s elite President’s Motorcycle Squadron, racking up over 400000 miles on his motorbike across Europe. He has escorted presidential and military figureheads, prison convoys, and both amateur and professional running and cycling races including the Paris-Roubaix, and most famously the Tour de France.

Complimenting his military career, he acts as Chief Road Security advisor for many amateur cycling races across France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain, and this since 2011. 

 

His love of bikes and the excitement of discovery through travel, have led him to create Le Motor Squad, through which he can share his experiences with others.

 

THE TEAM

Gerald only works with former French Republican Guard motorcyclists to ensure the highest quality service and bike handling skills are there for you. Everyone speaks a minimum of two languages.

All Le Motor Squad guides have completed the advanced motorbike training course run by the French Gendarmerie at the Centre National de Formation Sécurité Routière (CNFSR), and every guest rider will be assessed by our team on arrival to ensure that we provide a tour that is adapted to your ability.
